Currently in read only mode, sorry about that, please try again in a few hours.

ISIC 2012 is a mega international event hosted by Indonesian Student Association in the United Kingdom (PPIUK – Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonesia di United Kingdom). This event consists of two main-events, Indonesian Students’ International Scientific Meeting (TIIMI – Temu Ilmiah Internasional Mahasiswa Indonesia) and Gala Cultural Night: Discover Indonesia.

TIIMI is the largest and the longest running Indonesian students’ academic paper conference across the world. The contest—the longest running event of PPIUK—will be judged by our Board of Reviewers, which consist of Indonesian in Top British Universities with International experiences in the UK. This year for the 12th annual conference’s theme is “Green Economy for Sustainable Development in Indonesia: Challenges and Opportunities from Multidisciplinary Approach”. This topic is selected as Green Economy becomes the global issue because of the demand to improve human well-being and social equity, alongside with the need to reduce environmental risks and ecological scarcities (UNEP, 2011). Currently, the Embassy of Republic of Indonesia has invited several globally well-known keynote speakers to further enhance the quality of the conference.

Revolutionarily, PPIUK is going to collaborate TIIMI with a Gala Cultural Night. This event will be used to promote Indonesian cultural traditions, such as dances, foods, theatre, and handicrafts. Proudly, an awards-winning and remarkable-soprano-singer, Ms. Gita Gutawa will be joining us to be one of our main national talent highlights during the performance. This event is a charity event, which will be used for supporting underprivileged and uneducated children in Indonesia from the fund raised. This will be a real contribution of PPIUK and partners towards society’s well-being and sustainable future in Indonesia.
