Professor Liu Kecheng (born in 1963) received his M.A. at Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology (XAUAT) in 1984. He is currently the dean of the School of Architecture of XAUAT and the director of the UIA Committee on Architectural Heritage in Region IV (Asia and Oceania). He received the National Expert with Extraordinary Contributions Award (including Special Funding from State Council of P.R.C.) in 1994 and National Expert of the New Millennium Award in 2006, along with many national and international academic and professional awards in competitions and tenders. Some of his projects include: Master planning of National Relic Park of Daming Palace of Tang Dynasty, preservation planning for Hanyang Mausoleum and Luoyang Baima Temple.
