A session at LinuxCon North America 2012

  • Peter Walsh

Thursday 30th August, 2012

2:25pm to 3:10pm (PST)

Successful DevOps requires a set of tools to provide the capabilities to get from point A to point B. Equally important is a solid plan and leadership to overcome the natural resistance to these fundamental changes. This workshop focuses on diagraming a DevOps flow and recognizing the cultural and organization potholes and bumps you can expect from your team. It also spends time on identifying the parts of the tool chain and existing technoliges to fill the various roles, as well as options for management and orchestration.
This workshop is intended for anyone (Developers, SysAdmins, Testers, Managers) working on implementing DevOps in their organization, either from the bottom up or top down. Participants will walk away with basic process and a product checklists to build from as well as an idea of what to expect from their team.
