Assanka were acquired by the FT in early 2012. This is the story of a company that showed the world what HTML5 web apps can do. With their revolutionary FT web app, they told Apple where to stick their iOS approval process and commission fees on app revenues. If you haven't seen it already, check out app.ft.com, from the intro splash screen, to HTML5 local storage, it really looks and feels like a native app. Simply remarkable.
Devrel for @fastly. Also @w3ctag, @polyfillio. Still love the @FT. Once described as "not entirely wrong" by @slightlylate bio from Twitter
