Delegates are invited to tour the SSTL facilities in Guildford to see the new fabrication facilities, learn about micro- and nano- satellite development and be briefed on specific issues relating to the use of small satellites to meet defence and security objectives. The site of the Galileo payload and other mission manufacture occurs in a parallel production environment optimised for rapid mission turnaround. The tour will cover the domains of Earth Observation, Communications and Navigation, along with other mission objectives. Delegates will hear about small satellite engineering including responsive manufacturing, resource optimised systems and processes and new satellite systems for space threat mitigation.
