  • WWSJD: What Would Steve Jobs Do?

    by Mike Lee

Many have sought to understand the mind of Steve Jobs, but few have gone through the effort of working at Apple, taking psychedelic drugs, or stalking Joan Baez. Mike Lee has done at least two of those things.

Join the World's Toughest Programmer for an inspiring and poignant exploration of who Steve Jobs was—not just how he was, but why. We'll watch archival footage of and about the man himself, and we'll ask the hard questions that other biographers have not.

We'll learn about the effects of chronic, long-term sleep deprivation on the brain. We'll find out what it takes to recruit and retain the smartest people in the world. We'll go beyond merely thinking different, and seek out the underlying truths behind Apple's meteoric success.

To learn about Steve is to learn about life and, ultimately, to learn a little something about ourselves. Don't miss this one-of-a-kind look at the Genius of Cupertino, and the genius in us all.

  • Localization: You should've seen me earlier, Doctor said.

    by Wordcrafts

Localization is often regarded as a painful part of software development and therefore often postponed until ... forever. However, postponing is the problem itself. By considering potential problems at an early stage, localization can be integrated almost seamlessly into software and business development. Instead of prescribing painkillers, we show you when and how to integrate localization into the software and the business development process – making it a less costly and less painful experience not worth worrying about.

  • Panel with the speakers of Day 1

    by StuFF mc

Remember "Evening at Adler"? I certainly do, and I miss those kind of "panels" at Cocoa Conferences, so I'll be sure to prepare some questions and throw them at the speakers! :-)

    At 4:00pm to 5:00pm, Tuesday 11th September

  • Conference Dinner

    by StuFF mc

600m away from the "Alte Versteigerungshalle" is the "Küchen Loft", where "Porschen Art Cooking" will wait for us starting at 6pm for the "Welcome Drink" and we'll have dinner at 7pm.

All drinks are on ObjCGN, this means as well beer and wine. Starting at 6pm as well, the Chef will start cooking Live for you! We'll most probably as well walk around with camera and microphone and we might even stream the evening.

Why would we stream (if we can)? Just so the world knows how cool ObjCGN is and to motivate those who stayed at home to join us next year!
