Riak Pipe was introduced in Riak 1.0 as the foundation for Riak's MapReduce engine. Right now Pipe isn't very visible to developers, and does most of its work behind the scenes. This, however, won't be the case forever. Pipe has much to offer in the way of scalable, distributed processing.
In this talk Bryan will cover the motivation and design details that underpin Pipe. He'll also dive into how it can be used as a low-level processing framework to build applications on top of Riak Core.
