  • Kelly McMahon

Friday 15th June, 2012

3:00pm to 4:00pm (EST)

Room 2 ~ 3:00pm - 4:00pm

Aggressive behaviour in classrooms, on the school grounds and on school buses concerns us all. Every day, we hear of more instances of bullying, fights, and other forms of violence that often leave both staff and students fearful and apprehensive. This 45 minute presentation offers some of CPI’s proven strategies for defusing difficult behaviour before it become dangerous. Participants learn practical solutions that can help staff and students find positive ways to safely resolve crisis situations, including how to:

  • Stay Focused
  • Listen Carefully
  • Offer Choices
  • Work Together

These simple and practical principles can be put to use immediately to help create
and maintain a safer, more caring school.
