Limit setting is an effective tool for promoting positive behaviour change in students. This 45 minute presentation guides staff in to examining options that professionals have at their disposable to increase confidence when dealing with challenging or confrontational students. In the presentation, ideas that will be explored are:
- The difference between limits and ultimatums.
- How to set clear and enforceable limits.
- Ways to present choices and consequences
- How to avoid power struggles.
