A session at SecondConf 2012

Saturday 22nd September, 2012

5:00pm to 6:00pm (CST)

Accessibility technologies empower the disabled as few other technologies do, but in order to make the most of them, you, the developer, need to design your apps with them in mind. This session starts with an overview of of the accessibility technologies that are built into iOS and how these technologies are used by those with disabilities. We’ll then dive deeper into iOS' VoiceOver technology which is used by those with vision impairments. Finally, we’ll explore the principles of universal design and how those principles can help make your mobile app more accessible.
