Ubiquitous Bluetooth Low Energy

A session at SecondConf 2012

Sunday 23rd September, 2012

1:00pm to 2:00pm (CST)

With the introduction of the iPhone 4S and the 3rd Generation iPad, Apple silently brought Bluetooth 4.0 to the world. This extension to Classic Bluetooth is designed for low-latency, low-power, low-range wireless communications. And, by eliminating the “Made for iPod” requirement, every developer now has the chance to integrate an upcoming plethora of wireless devices with native apps in creative and groundbreaking ways. In this presentation, you will learn about Bluetooth Low Energy, how to work with it in the iOS SDK, and how to prototype with existing hardware solutions. Live demo technology will be present!
