Symfony2 Bootcamp (Part 1 of 3)

A session at Sheffield PHP User Group

Setting up Symfony2 from first principles & creating a basic image archiving application. We will cover the following key areas over the three monthly sessions:
- Symfony2 (setup, configuration, routing etc)
- Imagine
- MongoDB
- Doctrine2
- Elastic Search
- Twig
- Assetic

No background reading is required as we want to include everyone and who wants homework ;) However if you want to be hands on during the session you will need a laptop with PHP and and a http server installed (Apache is preferred but if you hate it, you can use whatever you fancy).

No windows platforms. Seriously. Linux, BSD or Apple are all fine. (You'll want to set-up a VM in VirtualBox or VMWare, if you're under Windows)
