Telling Stories in a Digital Age

A session at Social Media Week London Sep 2012

Monday 24th September, 2012

9:30am to 11:00am (GMT)

Pearson will be making our debut at Social Media Week with an event about stories. Telling Stories in a Digital Age will examine how the ancient art of storytelling has been and will continue to be affected by technology and social media.

Chaired by Head of Future Technologies at Pearson, Diana Stepner, our speaker lineup is Penguin Digital Managing Director, Anna Rafferty, the co-founder of new social network Menshn, Luke Bozier, and edtech startup Night Zookeeper investor Richard Taylor.

The discussion will involve everything from new technologies and trends in story telling, to how a brand’s narrative is effected by constant contact with customers on social media. We’ll also talk about the impact of citizen journalism on reporting news stories, what digitally-native generations will expect from storytellers, and how the constant stream of reader feedback affects writers and authors today.
