  • Indie Games, Indie Film - DejaVu

    Nearly two decades ago, independent film ushered in a wave of new voices, new stories and a new way of looking at the industry. Fast forward to present day and independent games are reinvigorating an industry in the same way. The parallels between these respective moments in time are quite strong. In an age of online distribution and accessible technology, the independent artist of today would seem to have quite a bit more weighted in their favour ... or do they?

  • Arcade Stage: Critical Mass Interactive invites “The Boondock Saints” to SXSW!

    FREE and open to the public. Critical Mass Interactive, Inc. (CMI) has returned to SXSW with “The Boondock Saints” franchise for a special panel and video game reveal, featuring Sean Patrick Flanery (Connor MacManus), Norman Reedus (Murphy MacManus) and David Della Rocco (Rocco). The three special guests will discuss “The Boondock Saints” film experience, update us as to their current projects, and help unveil CMI’s new online multimedia plans around Troy Duffy’s original film. There will also be a Q&A session followed by an exclusive 30 minute autograph session with the stars. Sean, Norm, and Rocco are always a smash hit wherever they go and CMI is proud to host their visit to SXSW!

  • Arcade Stage: Dragon Age - The Animated Feature Film Preview

    FREE and open to the public. Check out a sneak peak mini-screening of new finished footage from Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker. Cassandra, a hot headed seeker from Orlais fearlessly engages the dreaded Blood Mages to end their grotesque blood ritual. Slaying the dragon and anyone in her path she discovers that a young girl is being used to facilitate their evil deeds. Returning to the Chantry only to watch her mentor be killed and the girl taken, leaves her doubting everything as she battles to discover the truth.

  • The Interactive + Film Fusion Party presented by Meebo

    SXSW is all about convergence and there's no better event to celebrate this than at the official Interactive + Film Fusion Party hosted once again by Meebo.
