Recently named as one of Canada's Most Powerful Women by the Women's
Executive Network (WXN), Dorothy Engelman combines the business savvy
of the Fortune 500-connected digital entrepreneur with the passion and
heart of an inspirational storyteller. A former documentary film
producer, she is co-owner and Senior Partner of Toronto-based q media
solutions, creating programming, commercials and integrated content
for a client list that includes HSBC, Microsoft, Dell, Direct Energy,
Scotiabank, CTV, TVO, The Globe and Mail and the Ontario Ministry of
Health. An active volunteer, she parlayed her business smarts and the
expertise of q media into the creation of getinvolved.ca, a social web
community that matches organizations and individuals who want to make
a difference. Along with corporate partners Dorothy spearheaded Get
Involved’s Power of the Hour national campaign, rallying companies and
their employees to pledge (so far) almost 3,500,000 hours toward
volunteering in their communities. With her many successes in both the private and not-for-profit
sectors, Dorothy has become a much in-demand speaker, conference
panelist and media consultant on issues ranging from philanthropy and
CSR to social media and strategic partnerships.

As TAZA Media founder and former youth worker, Sherien knows that good stories are often uncovered in challenging places. Before founding TAZA, Sherien was a national reporter for CTS, and worked as a producer for CTV, SunTV and Rogers. In addition to making films, Sherien helps the Ontario government tell its stories as Senior Producer of the Ontario Newsroom, where she has overseen the production of over 200 digital shorts. A journalism graduate of Ryerson University, Sherien also holds a Documentary Filmmaking Institute certificate from Seneca’s School of Communication Arts.
Meghan Warby is the first community manager working within a Canadian provincial government. In the province of Ontario's Cabinet Office she guides Ministries in their digital communications, online outreach and social media strategies. Previously, Meghan has been an agency-side communications consultant in government relations, corporate communications and digital strategies, at Hill & Knowlton & Argyle Communications. A social media enthusiast, Meghan spent the winter of 2008 traveling across the United States to interview ‘pioneers’ in eAdvocacy to gauge the significant changes in communications between the 2004 and 2008 American federal elections. Blogging and tweeting as “withoutayard” combines her love of music (nurtured at the Austin Music Foundation) & politics (expressed on two Election Predictor Blogs & as Vice Chair of the Churchill Society for the Advancement of Parliamentary Democracy).
