Service design: Å designe for mennesker vs. for skjermer

I flere år har webdesignere og UX-designere laget fantastiske løsninger – for skjermer. Men skjermen er ofte bare en del av brukernes og kundenes totale brukeropplevelse. Tenk på egne erfaringer med for eksempel telecombransjen, forsikringsselskap og flyselskap. Brukervennlige nettsider blir en mager trøst hvis resten av kundereisen er elendig.

Service design tenker på den totale brukeropplevelsen, gjennom ulike touch-points og over tid.
Andy Polaine utfordrer i dette foredraget webdesignere og UX-designere til å strekke seg mot et nytt mål: å designe med mennesker, ikke bare for dem.

For years, web designers and UX designers created amazing solutions - for monitors. But the screen is often just a part of users 'and customers' user experience. Think about your own experiences with such telecom industry, insurance companies and airlines. User-friendly sites are little consolation if the rest of the customers ice is lousy.

Service design thinking of the overall user experience, through various touch points and over time.
