Design Systems, Not Stuff

A session at Wharton Web Conference 2012

Tuesday 10th July, 2012

10:45am to 12:15pm (EST)

As the digital world becomes more complex and multi-channel focused, organizations are having a tougher time prioritizing efforts to get projects done and meet the needs of stakeholders and users. By changing the focus to designing systems instead of shining the digital trend of the moment, organizations can become more nimble as they execute digital efforts that have high value to users and deliver on the goals of the organization.

This presentation is for anyone who has had technical, strategic and/or budgetary constraints influence what was built vs. what was imagined. We will dig into how to use systems-based thinking to understand how things influence one another and learn techniques to discover constraints sooner. We will learn how to start creating efficiencies of digital process, infrastructure and communication in pursuit of better user experiences.
