iOS Application and Data Security

A session at WindyCityGo 2012

Thursday 5th April, 2012

10:30am to 11:15am (CST)

iOS provides application sandboxing, an encrypted disk, password keychain services, and SSL libraries. It uses code signing to detect altered application packages and you know none of your users run jail broken devices. So your user’s and company’s data are safe, right? Wrong. We will discuss iOS security myths, illustrate several attacks that work today, and walk through best practices to secure the sensitive data managed by your application.
