Design and Build Your API

A session at ZendCon PHP 2012

Every product needs a good API, but what's a "good" API and how do you make one? We'll kick off by inspecting some existing APIs and looking at their structure, purpose and delivery. We'll move on and look at the technologies behind web services, the difference between RPC and REST, and so on. Once you've seen enough theory, we will jump right in and start to design our own API ... and then build it! Bring your laptops and API ideas, and let's begin!
