Visualizing Agility: Agile Metrics That Matter

A session at AgileDotNet Dallas

In Agile development, we hold delivering value to the customer as our highest priority. Shouldn’t the metrics we use to steer projects and improve performance be held to the same standard? Used effectively, the right metrics can play a significant role in helping team members, managers, and senior leadership achieve projects and Agile adoption goals.

In this interactive workshop, we’ll explore answers to the questions:

  • Who are the ‘customers’ for Agile metrics in an organization?
  • Which metrics have the highest potential to reinforce Agile principles, focus on results, and improve decision quality?
  • What are some of the common pitfalls?
  • Which metrics have the most potential for abuse and should be avoided?

In addition, we’ll discuss some lesser known but extremely useful metrics and a simple technique to get the most value out of the metrics you do use.
