This presentation is a review of Consolidated Edison Company of New York’s system preparation and restoration efforts as a result of the prolonged wind, rain and flooding that struck Con Edison’s service territory on October 29 and 30, 2012 as well as the immediate storm hardening efforts the Company is planning to undertake to mitigate the impacts of similar future storm events.
Mr McHugh is currently the Chief Distribution Engineer for Consolidated Edison of New York (Con Edison). Patrick has a B.A. in Physics from SUNY Plattsburgh, a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson University and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson University.
Mr. Villani is currently the Department Manager for Project Engineering at Consolidated Edison Company of New York (Con Edison). Lou holds a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from Manhattan College, is a member of ASCE, and is a registered Professional Engineer in New York and New Jersey. He has held jobs of increasing responsibility since joining Con Edison in 1982. In his 31 year career at Con Edison, Lou worked in support of power generation, substations, and electric transmission and distribution systems. In his current role, Lou manages a department that coordinates the multi-discipline engineering projects for substations, electric transmission, and steam operations.
