Distributed (On/Off-Shore) Agile: Oxymoron or Holy Grail?

A session at Agile Tour Sydney 2013

Friday 29th November, 2013

10:45am to 11:45am (EST)

Both socially and in business, the world is becoming a smaller place where borders and distance matter less.
Or does it? Many companies are having another go at off-shoring both business processes and software development.
The potential benefits of off-shoring for the organisation seem to be clear. But does it really stack up? And what about the benefits or cost for the teams involved, both on-shore and off-shore?
There are many opinions about this topic but not much data and practical recommendations. Can we, as a group, change this and de-mystify “Distributed On/Off-shore Agile?
We will share stories, collect data, analyse this, establish principles and metrics.
