Open Source Project Management Tools

A session at All Things Open

How Will You Know It's Broke, if You Don't Know Where It Is?

Great project management software keeps track of everything on all of your various client projects. By helping you know where everything is – tasks, files, resources, due dates and more – you better know what projects are moving along as they should, and which ones are in danger of going off the rails. Most freelancers and smaller web agencies use a complicated mix of MS Office and/or Google docs, billing software, file exchange programs, and yes, Joomla extensions, to try to keep track of the constant deluge of project information and communication.

In this session Deb, a certified PMP, will help you explore several Joomla and non-Joomla open source project management tools through an objective comparison and contrast of their key features. She'll highlight important advantages and disadvantages of each application, along with her usual candid insights to let you know "where the bodies are buried" in ones you may be considering. Whether you are looking for an internal solution or a client-facing one, come find out more about your best options for open source project management software.

(Important disclaimer: The presenter has NO financial or business ties to any of the software that will be included in this session. This is an unbiased, third party review of all included extensions and applications.)
