9:45am to 10:30am
This slightly irreverent presentation will look at uses of the Sakai CLE at Antioch University that don't necessarily conform to the conventional view of what a learning management system is all about. Along the way, we will discuss Antioch's experiences with Google Apps integration into Sakai, and some of the ways we have discovered to make simple modifications to sites so that they are as individual as the people who manage them.
Attendees will develop a better understanding of the ways that the Sakai CLE can be used to promote collaboration within their institution, how Sakai can be used as a platform to provide access to a variety of learning tools, and how Sakai can be customized in a way that makes instructors and project site coordinators feel more empowered.
