UC Berkeley currently has no central person registry as part of our Identity Management architecture. After an evaluation of higher ed open/community source options, UCB has chosen Apereo's Open Registry project as the target solution for our campus. Over the course of the next calendar year, our hope is to work with Apereo, other interested campuses, and vendors to bring up Open Registry on our campus. At the June Apereo conference, we would like to report on our development deployment of Open Registry, including information about this Registry as a community solution and how other campuses can take advantage of the work we have done and become active in the Open Registry community.
