Comcast's Search & Discovery services group is responsible for providing content discovery services for Comcast. The discovery services include search, browse and recommendations of programs watchable on Television, On-demand and Online. The services are consumed by internal Comcast clients to render different User Interfaces such the TV Set top boxes, Comcast Web pages and Mobile devices. The services are operated round the clock to provide continuous support Comcast subscribers content viewing experience.

In this presentation Kranti will present the evolution of Comcast's search platform and also discuss the high level architecture which uses cutting edge technologies like Apache Lucene/Solr, MongoDB & Hadoop. Kranti will also discuss about Comcast's perspective of Big data, how they process and use it for serving innovative products to millions of users.
