4:00pm to 5:30pm
Listen before speaking. Think before acting or reacting. It seems to be simple, but it is becoming a major challenge for ELT professionals who must be adequately prepared for Parent-Teacher Meetings. In this workshop, we will go through situations that can help you to turn anxious parents into confident and supportive collaborators.
We will start with a quiz about Parent-Teacher Meetings to elicit some important aspects of this theme. Then, we will focus on the challenge of approaching demanding parents in a tactful manner. Later, we will have participants playing the roles of parents and teachers in situations that portray meaningful moments during Parent-Teacher Meetings.
