Reducing Code in ASP.NET MVC

A session at Central Ohio Day of .NET

Saturday 2nd November, 2013

2:45pm to 3:45pm (EST)

Do you feel like there are too many lines of code in your ASP.net MVC site? More importantly, do you think that your code base is about as concise as it can be? I will show you how to reduce errors by reducing duplicate code. We will start with simple techniques that are in used in production to reduce code and maximize code vision. We will move on to what good ideas we can borrow from Ruby, node and JavaScript. Finally you will learn ways of identifying patterns, from other technologies, that will work for you. From Aspects to Actions, Inheritance to Interfaces, and extension methods to linq there is sure to be something new for you to walk away from this talk with. You will write fewer lines of code, and fewer bugs.
