Developing Educational Content for Use Inside and Outside the Classroom

A session at Confab London 2013

Tuesday 26th March, 2013

2:10pm to 2:40pm (GMT)

How can you best use educational content, whether for traditional or nontraditional educational strategies, as part of your overall content strategy mix? Offering examples from projects like the PBS documentary Slavery by Another Name—which generated curricula, guides, maps, timelines, digital stories, and original videos—this session will examine the process behind developing effective educational content that doesn’t just educate, but also advocates, engages, and builds community.

  • Understand the various types of educational content—curricula and beyond—that can be used in traditional and nontraditional educational settings.
  • Discover how adding an educational component can open up learning opportunities that further engage audiences.
  • Explore innovative and effective uses of educational content in the nonprofit, public media, and business worlds.
