Collaborations through Telepresence

An update on the fast evolving world of telepresence and its usage in collaboration, co-creation and collective activities. Amongst others medical, educational and artistic usages are emerging fast through connected screens, virtual platforms, motion capture and telepresence robotics. Using examples from several projects produced by body>data>space and other topical work and play scenarios, the talk will overview the present and vision future potentials. The video attached shows 'me and my shadow' by Joseph Hyde/ Phill Tew - a telepresence motion capture world connecting 4 cities across Europe.

Creative Director, body>data>space

Ghislaine Boddington is a Research Associate Artist at ResCen and works internationally as an artist, dramaturg, director, curator and presenter. She is a performing arts specialist and an expert in body responsive interfaces and virtual/physical body networks.
