An interactive exchange based on the tenets of the Medical Interpreters Code of Ethics (IMIA: http://www.imiaweb.org/code/default.asp; CHIA: http://c.ymcdn.com/sites/www.chiaonline.org/resource/resmgr/docs/standards_chia.pdf - pg 24-33), based on anecdotal experiences, and case studies leading to discussions of applicability, relevance.
Armando Ezquerra Hasbun has degrees in Psychology, International Studies and Spanish Language and Literature. He is a federally certified court interpreter and an ATA-certified English>Spanish translator. He is also a certified trainer for medical interpreters, as well as a conference interpreter, grader, lecturer and consultant in the industry as a Subject Matter Expert. He is an Adjunct Professor currently teaching interpretation at La Salle University in Philadelphia. He has been published on various topics of interest to the language services profession and, as a recognized thought leader in the industry, is often engaged as a speaker.
