Educators are increasingly discovering the value of connecting student learning to the “real world”. In this presentation we’ll explain why this is important and outline some examples of how technology can facilitate connecting students to real world experiences by using tools such as Skype, Google Hangouts, Twitter, Pinterest, blogging and mobile devices. We’ll also provide an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and share their favourite ways for using technology to break down the walls of school.
