Recording The Feedback and Next Steps of Student Conferences on a Tablet

A session at Bring IT, Together [ECOO & OASBO]

Friday 25th October, 2013

1:00pm to 1:45pm (EST)

Teachers often have trouble remembering exactly what descriptive feedback and the proposed next steps following student conferences. Whether one to one or through an online system such as Edmodo, feedback given to students either by a teacher on another student can help to guide evaluators in judging student progress. This session will outline a system that has been working in a grade three classroom for over a year with great results. The experience of the teachers involved in keeping these records may help you when providing descriptive student feedback even if you don’t plan such an implementation. A well-organized list of compiled feed comments will be available. For those interested in how it all works the details of developing wireless remote tablet interfaces to a database on a laptop computer will be explained.
