This talk will present one moral philosopher’s novel account of how we can derive a rationally grounded, naturalistic, atheistic, and, most of all, humanistic ethics by developing and integrating insights from great philosophers like Nietzsche, Aristotle, and Kant and from cutting edge moral philosophy and psychology. Reclaiming the pursuit of power from its negative reputation as primarily a temptation to immorality, we can reimagine the drive for power as a rational basis for developing our fullest human potential and for motivating us to empower other people as the greatest possible realization of our own power.
