Future Now Weekend

Part of Festival of Neighbourhood and Meltdown

22 23 June 2013

Currently in read only mode, sorry about that, please try again in a few hours.

Yoko Ono’s ‘instructions’ pieces make a profound statement about the possibility of shaping our own futures by instructing us to behave in new ways.

Over this weekend at Meltdown, Yoko launches her brand new book of instructions, Acorn, in conversation with Hans-Ulrich Obrist.

To celebrate, we are running instruction happenings throughout Saturday and Sunday in The Clore Ballroom at Royal Festival Hall, and presenting a number of special events inspired by the urgent need to influence the future. Experts from fields as diverse as poetry and gaming explore visions of the world to come. We also investigate the use of maths in helping us understand the present and predict our futures.
