Lunchtime PaaS Workshop

A session at GeekUp Liverpool January 2013

Tuesday 29th January, 2013

12:00pm to 2:00pm (GMT)

DoES Liverpool welcomes Steven Citron-Pousty, PaaS Dust Spreader (Evangelist) with Red Hat, all the way from San Diego, US.

We are going to do a workshop using a PaaS (OpenShift) to get your app up and running in "the cloud" (sexy sexy). We will cover some cloud basics, then the rest of the time will be hands on with spinning up a web application (python will be default but you can use others), then add a database (SQL or NOSQL), bring in some github code, and have a good time. All of this will be on free services, just bring a laptop and email address and you will be good to go!

Please arrive for 12pm and we'll get started soon after. If you can't stay beyond 1pm that's fine but the longer you have the more you can take your time.
