A session at GOTO Zurich 2013

Thursday 11th April, 2013

This slot has two great talks!

Title of talk 1: 5 Pain Points of Agile Development

Speaker: Simon West

With agile development now practically the status quo, there’s been a growing recognition that good SCM is key to solving some of the problems that fast-iterating, collaborative teams face when it comes to automation and geography.
Although the Agile Manifesto of 2001 emphasizes the importance of “individuals and interactions over processes and tools,” in the last decade the most successful agile teams have reported that one tool in particular was critical to their success: SCM
This presentation will look at 3 key trends and 5 pain points of Agile Software Development

Title of talk 2; Disrupting Enterprise software markets through Freemium and SaaS

Speaker: Rainer Schuppe

AppDynamics in just 3 years has disrupted a 3 billion Euro application monitoring market, which was dominated by established vendors like CA, HP, IBM and Oracle. How did we do it? We made our software available to anyone who wanted to try it, for free. We made it easy to deploy and easy to use, two simple things which you normally don't associate with enterprise software. This session will take a look at the go-to-market strategy behind AppDynamics and how a startup in just 3 years was able to capture 500 customers, become a Gartner Magic Quadrant leader, generate over 100,000 downloads of its software and establish a 90% win ratio over its competitors.
