DIY Accessibility, Caleb Tang

A session at HCID2013

Wednesday 17th April, 2013

1:00pm to 1:40pm (GMT)

Web Accessibility is often not a requirement and is perceived as added complexity when it comes to validation and development stage. While it is important to involve accessibility expert early in the design process, every member of the team should also share the responsibility to ensure that unnecessary barriers were not created during the phases in design.

Caleb is a User Experience and Accessibility practitioner. His previous experience working in web development, accessibility consultancy and user experience consultancy enable him to solve problems from different perspectives. Throughout his career, he has completed projects for varied industries and clients which involve a mix of devices and platforms. He enjoys solving complex problems especially when it involves people with diverse needs.

Besides practicing, he is also active in the UX community and currently serving as the Treasurer and Accessibility Chair for the UXPA UK.
