2013 USENIX Workshop on Health Information Technologies (HealthTech '13)

HealthTech '13 will be co-located with the 22nd USENIX Security Symposium (USENIX Security '13).

The safe and effective delivery of healthcare increasingly depends on computing technology. However, the rapid development and hasty adoption of new technologies combined with a regulatory environment with complicated interpretations has resulted in a landscape replete with interoperability, safety, and security risks.

HealthTech, previously known as HealthSec, the USENIX Workshop on Health Security and Privacy, is broadening its scope to encourage the development of new technologies that generally improve the quality and safety of healthcare, as well as the access to it. By bringing together researchers, practitioners, and industrial partners, HealthTech aims to provide a forum for cross-disciplinary interactions among the technology, medicine, and policy communities.
