A session at HighEdWeb New England

Monday 18th March, 2013

4:10pm to 4:55pm (EST)

Improve your website’s usability by adopting user-centered design best practices: usability testing, surveys, focus groups, and more. Learn how Bentley University used these methodologies to launch its new Admission site and curtailed design debates with a shared understanding of user goals and attitudes.

Week 1: Build your toolkit
Discover when and how to use focus groups, personas, surveys, analytics and usability testing to improve website experience. Learn how to complement quantitative data with qualitative insights to develop a shared view of users based on actual facts, not opinion.

Week 2: Gather insights
Leverage analytics and on-site surveys to understand user intent and how effective your site is in meeting users’ needs. Products covered: Google Analytics and 4Q surveys.

Week 3: Connect with users
Learn how to run quick and easy usability tests and vet new site features or functionality before they launch.
