Working with Alloy and Widgets
Martin has been working with Tony Lukesavage and the Alloy framework since November last year and has developed a cross-platform (iOS, Android & Blackberry) enterprise application using the new framework. He's an advocate of Alloy and will be presenting his talk on Alloy widgets that went down so well at TiConf.eu
We have 2 demo's lined up for you:
Romain Eude will be showing us Utelly.
Utelly is an app and a platform which aim is to help consumers find and discover what to watch online and on air. The (python) backend aggregate all watchable content (live tv, ondemand, vod and user generated videos) to make it available via the (titanium) app. In the app itself, the user can browse, search and discover what show to watch and upon tapping, the app plays it on the phone (if legally available onlie) or remote controls the TV or set top box to display it.
Utelly is currently in private beta on iOS.
Simon Buckingham will demo Me & Mine Health.
Me & Mine Health is an app designed to help keep track of an individual's or a family’s healthcare. Depending upon a family member's age, gender and any medical conditions they may have, the app creates a personalised schedule of tests and vaccinations based upon NHS guidelines. The app covers all ages from birth to old age, from childhood vaccinations, through screening tests for conditions such as cancer and heart disease, and on to routine tests to monitor a range of medical conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure and stroke. Tests and vaccinations are alerted to the user when due and a full history of results can be recorded.
We will also be running a raffle.
WIN! one of 3 Titanium books away on the night.
Plus some swag and t-shirts to give away.
We hope to have a few Titan's attending this meetup, including Trevor Ward and Boydlee Pollentine, authors of the new Titanium Best Practices book.
