Wednesday 23rd October, 2013
6:30pm to 9:00pm
We're still buzzing after an amazing summercamp last week. Keep an eye on our blog for a follow up. But for now you'll have to do with some pics of the day and slides from the talks (www.thehappystartupschool.wordpr...)
Our next event will be on 23rd October, at the Hub Westminster.
For this event, we're taking a slightly different format than previous meetups, theming the night around crowdsourcing tips on how we can take our businesses to the next level.
Inspired by the format at the stupendous LOPO, we'll see 3 budding entrepreneurs pitch their projects to the audience for help and feedback. Everyone will be given the chance to write down advice for the startup pitching so that at the end of the night, the pitcher will leave with lots of ideas on what they can do next. We've seen this work firsthand at LOPO and think it will be a useful, fun format for our next meetup.
Those participating will make valuable connections, work in groups to brainstorm ideas and hopefully see the value in sharing and co-creating ideas – strength in numbers. We're also hoping that the startups that do pitch will return next time to share their progress. Your input could have real impact!
Each pitch will revolve around 4 questions:
• What's your startup idea?
• What's your vision? ie what change do you want to see in the world.
• Where are you at now?
• What do you need help with?
Each startup will have 5 minutes to pitch, with 15 minutes allowed for group work for each.
If you're in the early stages of starting your own business but have hit a stumbling block or just need help and advice to get to the next level, get in touch to get the opportunity to pitch your idea to a group of creative thinking entrepreneurs for some invaluable feedback.
Just email Fiona (firstname.lastname@example.org) with a bit about you and your startup (even if you're just at an early stage).
As always, ticket costs will go towards drinks & nibbles on the night.
It's set to be an inspiring evening, make sure you join us!
