22. Developing our own digital literacy: Parenting 21st century children
Today's children are more likely to play on the internet than in the sandbox. While surfing, gaming, viewing, texting and social networking offer rich possibilities for the development of critical thinking and social awareness, they can be a minefield without effective supervision and navigation. In this session, we will grapple with issues, examine resources, and explore ways to partner with our own children to protect and empower them in an ever-changing digital world.
