Online Information Literacy Education at a Small Graduate School

A session at MLA/DLA Annual Conference 2013

Thursday 9th May, 2013

10:45am to 12:00pm (EST)

What happens to Library-led information literacy education when a graduate school changes its programs from being offered predominately in the daytime to being evening and weekend based? With no budget increases in sight to hire instructional staff, the Sherman Cohn Library at the Tai Sophia Institute needed to create innovative learning materials that could be accessed on-demand. Learn how the library enhanced the University of Washington’s Research 101 tutorial, created YouTube videos, and utilized a paid account with EmailMeForm in a pilot attempt to infuse all of the Institute’s curricula with information literacy education.
