Thursday 9th May, 2013

3:45pm to 5:00pm (EST)

What does Outreach mean to your library? Is it serving the underserved? Community engagement? Marketing? Embedded librarians? Outreach Services are forging some new roads in this time of rapidly evolving libraries and tough economic times. Hear four distinct stories of libraries working with community partners to provide a successful book group for seniors off-site, a Virtual Supermarket program to underserved neighborhoods of Baltimore City, an innovative multi-cultural program with international college students, and an exciting lunch-time book discussion with elementary school students. Come learn how your library can ramp up your current services and become more visible in your community.
