Read Watch Play: a global reading group via Twitter

A session at NDF2013

  • Alyson Baker
  • Nicola Harwood

Tuesday 26th November, 2013

2:30pm to 2:55pm (NZMT)

Read Watch Play is a global Twitter-based reading group that is co-facilitated by public libraries across four countries using http://twitter.com/#rwpchat.

The group was first created in 2011 by the New South Wales Readers Advisory Working Group, Australia. In 2013 libraries from other countries joined the group: Nelson Public Libraries and libraries in Denmark and Singapore. Our presentation will explain how the group works, how libraries in different countries collaborate, and our experiences to date being part of the group. And we will have live Tweets from the participating countries during the presentation.
