Remote Sensing and GIS Unconference

#RSGIS is an event where people from universities, government and the spatial industry can get together to share knowledge, network, and find opportunities to collaborate on concepts and ideas.

Currently in read only mode, sorry about that, please try again in a few hours.

Welcome to the inaugural Remote Sensing and GIS Unconference, to be held at the Ecosciences Precinct on the 21st March 2013. The Ecosciences Precinct is located at the Boggo Road Urban Village in Dutton Park, Brisbane, approximately five minutes drive from Brisbane's CBD. If you are attending please fill out this short survey to help the local cafe in planning for the day.

This event, organised by the Joint Remote Sensing Research Program, will showcase many of the innovative cutting edge spatial research projects that are happening locally within the Government, Universities and Industry. Held as a Barcamp type event, the content will be user driven with a mix of lightning talks around specific sessions with specialised participant driven workshops on particular topics of interest to you, such as Terrestrial Laser Scanner applications, Big Data services and delivery and/or Open Source GIS.

The Remote Sensing and GIS Unconference is an event where people from universities, government and the spatial industry can get together to share knowledge, network, and find opportunities to collaborate on concepts and ideas that may inspire and potentially shape new opportunities to innovate. This is a free event, where everyone is encouraged to contribute to the presentations, discussions, workshops and this wiki. We have two rooms with AV equipment and whiteboards and we will provide limited internet connectivity (so bring your own if you can). Bring your own lunch to eat in the courtyard, or Cafe Eco is on site if you need to buy food or coffee.
