The Pearson Debate: Social media and the classroom - friends or foes?

Social Media Week, London

23 September 2013 from 9am to 10am

How will social media impact on the experience of UK school children? How can it be woven into what is good about the classroom of today, combined with new education technologies and help shape the classroom of tomorrow in a positive way?

To celebrate Social Media Week, Pearson will be hosting a panel of edtech experts and educators to discuss the benefits to teachers and pupils alike of a more open, personalised and connected classroom. Across the world there are examples of how learning in schools is being inspired and facilitated by social media platforms, and our panel will be looking at some of these to provide delegates with practical take-home ideas.

The event will be highly interactive, with questions welcomed from the floor and over Twitter. #smwPearson
