Real Time Upgrade 2010-2013

A session at SharePoint Saturday Austin

Saturday 2nd March, 2013

2:10pm to 3:10pm (CST)

It is one thing to watch a one-hour session on the theory of upgrade, it is entirely another thing to watch it done in real time. In this session, we will walk through actual content and service application upgrades. We will cover real live scenarios in real time and how to approach them. The upgrade model has changed in 2013, be prepared when it is your turn to upgrade.

PRESENTATION BENEFIT: Users will walk away with the comfort and knowledge of seeing what is actually involved in doing an upgrade from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2013.

Eric Harlan

In between skiing, I do a little SharePoint work here and there. Microsoft PFE, Author, Adventurist, Travler, Father, Husband. bio from Twitter

In between searching the planet high and low for the best skiing conditions, deepest powder and crazy ‘steeps’, Eric Harlan spends most of his time in the technology field.

Eric has been in the I.T. industry for ten years, and heavily involved with SharePoint for six years. Starting from a developer role, Eric has moved on to a more architectural role with a focus on configuration and server implementation.

Never forgetting his developer roots, he still jumps in when needed to pick up the slack on custom dev needs. As a SharePoint Premier Field Engineer for Microsoft Eric is the first on the ground to troubleshoot SharePoint issues as well as kick off proactive engagements.

Eric is involved with many volunteer organizations from SharePoint Saturdays, Global SharePoint users group, and educational code camps to President and Co-Founder of the Baltimore SharePoint Users group.
