Saturday 2nd March, 2013
2:10pm to 3:10pm
Because of SharePoint’s many capabilities, solutions are at risk of being feature-centric instead of user-centric. This session defines both User Centered Design (UCD) and User Experience (UX) concepts and provides tangible methods to incorporate the user into your SharePoint solution without giving up features or diluting business goals.
In this session you will learn:
1.The benefits of a user-centric approach
2.Fundamental definitions and concepts of User Experience (UX) and User Centered Design (UCD)
3.The steps in a User Experience (UX) driven SharePoint project
4.The who, what, why, and how of User Centered Design methods such as personas, task analysis, content audits, usability testing and more.
5.How to overcome potential obstacles to adopting these methods
This session is intended for all SharePoint professionals responsible for making SharePoint a usable and positive user experience including Power Users, IT Managers, Designers, Developers and Project Managers.
